Tom Napa
Toomas (Tom) Napa was born in Toronto, Canada in 1952 to Estonian émigré parents who had previously fled their homeland in August 1944 from invading Russians. His early years saw his family move across Canada, eventually landing in Vancouver, B.C. In 1964, the family immigrated to the U.S. where Tom finished high school in Seattle and then graduating from the University of Washington (UW) with a BA in Accounting (1974), followed by an MBA in Finance (1976). He joined Physio-Control (a leading medical electronics manufacturer) as International Controller in 1980. In 1984, he left to join a start-up exercise equipment manufacturer, Precor, Inc., as CFO/Treasurer. After a very successful run with Precor, Tom retired to pursue his passions of travel and cycling. Over many years, Tom has been active in Estonian organizations and activities, taking leadership positions as Treasurer of Seattle LEP’s in 1981 and 1991 as well as President of Seattle LEP2009, and the long time Treasurer of the Estonian Evangelical Church of Seattle.
